Solar Secret (2001)

Solar Secret was a talented sprinter / miler who won nearly $250,000 in prize-money from his 7 wins and 18 placings during his 56 race career. A chestnut gelding by Desert Sun out of Guilty Secret, he was a metropolitan winner and twice stakes-placed, narrowly defeated in the Listed Eye Liner Stakes (1350 metres at Ipswich) and 3rd in the Group Three Moonga Stakes (1400 metres at Caulfield).

In 2005 Solar Secret won a 1200 metre race at Geelong – running the time of 1.08.95 – creating a new track record which still stands to this day.
