Tarcoola Midnight (1998)

Tarcoola Midnight was a long-striding son of El Moxie who – after losing by a nose at Sale on debut – won consecutive races at Caulfield and Flemington. At his next start he was narrowly defeated (when favourite) in a tight finish behind Spitz and Amalfi – with Amalfi then going on to win the Victoria Derby 3 starts later.

Tarcoola Midnight would ultimately win 3 races in his 49 start career, placing 8 times and retiring with prize-money earnings of $111,000. He was stakes-placed in the G3 Yallambee Stud Stakes (1400 metres) at Flemington.
