    Junoesque

    Junoesque (2009)

Junoesque is a half-sister to 2011 Malaysian Horse of the Year, Tears To Diamonds and the very promising Deuced (now Sweet Korean – Macau).

Very quickly validating our high opinion of her, Junoesque resumed racing on the 14th of May, 2014, at Sandown Lakeside and produced a stunning performance to come from last to win running away by 3 lengths over the 1200 metre trip. In doing so, Junoesque clearly recoded the best speedfigures on the day. Her progress into better races and wins appears inevitable.

Read below for her earlier history:

This imposing young mare by Spinning World had a relatively late start to her racing career, having her first start in June of 2013 as a late 3-y-o, progressing through a luckless first campaign that could easily have saw her a winner on multiple occasions.

Resuming after a 14 week spell on the 15th of November, Junoesque proved far too good for her rivals over the seemingly unsuitable 1150m course at Traralgon, easily winning her Maiden. Immediately following this she was desperately unlucky to suffer defeat by a nose at Kilmore (held up and should have won easily) – followed by an arrogant 4 length victory (being eased down last 75m) at Benalla over 1606 metres in December.

As of 2017 Junoesque has won 6 races. Her latest victory was in the Summer Cup (1400m) at Wagga where she carried top-weight of 61kg and after coming from last won eased down by 3.3 lengths.
